After working on my pastel pink and green Featherington inspired tablescape<\/a> last week I was ready to bring out the Bridgerton blue this week! After all… in the world of Bridgerton the Bridgerton’s reign supreme! I borrowed a few pieces from my mama (mainly these beautiful royal blue china pieces!) and decided they were the perfect mix of regal and elegant to represent the Bridgerton’s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, while I love the blue there is one problem… I don’t have a lot of dark blue pieces to go with such an elegant set!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luckily there’s a few ways to work around this. Let’s get started!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: Keep it Simple!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you don’t have a lot of matching pieces the best solution is to keep the rest of the table simple. Go for monotone or neutral colors. In this case I went with a white table cloth and white napkins so the beautiful blue and gold details of the china would really pop!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You could have also gone with blue on blue and used different blue tones to tie it all together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which is why after adding a bit of silver flatware I borrowed my mom’s blue noritake swirl glasses. Not only are they blue but they’re clear glass so they read as very neutral on the table. They’re not taking up any visual weight even though the color is a definite nod to the Bridgerton blue. I could have gone with a clear glass but I wanted to pull in a little more of that blue while still letting the china shine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2: Add Flowers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

My next best tip? If we’re keeping the table as simple as possible (with white linens and silver flatware) I don’t want to clutter the table with a busy centerpiece. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Especially because I don’t have a bunch of dark blue elegant serving dishes that would go with this set! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead I had one beautiful matching serving dish… for soup. And since I’m not serving soup I cleaned it out and filled it with gorgeous blooms in coordinating colors. Blues, whites, greens… even a few soft pinks and purples. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only did these come out of my garden (so they’re extra special!) but I was able to pick colors that would complement the china and let it shine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then I added my absolute favorite trick… a few fancy napkin rings!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this case a few Bridgerton bee’s! I tucked a few of these bee inspired napkin rings<\/a> into the flowers so they looked like part of the centerpiece. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Very Bridgerton!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But they left the simplicity of the table alone so the china could continue to be the star of the show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I absolutely love how it came together! I’m ready for a fancy Bridgerton themed dinner party before I watch the next season!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now that I’ve done a Bridgerton and a Featherington inspired table I’m kind of tempted to work on a few more tables inspired by the families of Bridgerton. A brightly colored Sharma table inspired by the sights and colors of India would be gorgeous!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And maybe I can tuck a few nods to Newton in there as well! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
